   Day 1: Arrival & Baku City Tour

   The 07:50 Air Arabia flight from Sharjah puts you on the ground at Heydar Aliyev International (GYD) at 10:40, so the whole afternoon is yours. Your driver meets you in arrivals for the 35-minute run into the city. After check-in, the city tour runs as one loop: Highland Park and Martyrs’ Lane first for the panorama across Baku Bay and the Flame Towers, then down into İçərişəhər — the UNESCO-listed walled Old City — on foot for the 12th-century Maiden Tower and the Palace of the Shirvanshahs. On through Fountains Square and Nizami Street with a photo stop at Zaha Hadid’s Heydar Aliyev Center, finishing with a golden-hour walk along Baku Boulevard and Little Venice on the Caspian promenade. Evening at leisure.

   Day 2: Gabala full-day tour — into the Caucasus foothills

   The big day out. An early breakfast and a 08:00 start for Gabala, roughly 225 km north-west, as the road climbs out of the dry Absheron plain into beech forest and mountain water. Stop at Shamakhi — the old Silk Road capital — and its Juma Mosque, first founded in the 8th century. On to Nohur Lake, a still jade-green reservoir ringed by wooded ridges, then the Tufandag Mountain Resort where a two-stage gondola lifts you above the tree line for the widest views of the day. A short walk up a shaded gorge brings you to Yeddi Gözəl, the Seven Beauties waterfall. Back at your Baku hotel around 20:00. It is a long day in the car — about 7 hours on the road — and the single reason most travellers come away calling Azerbaijan greener than they expected.

   Day 3: Absheron fire tour & departure

   Breakfast, check out at 09:00 and your luggage travels with you — no need to return to the hotel. Azerbaijan is called the Land of Fire for a literal reason, and this morning is where you see it. First Ateshgah at Surakhani, a pentagonal caravanserai-like temple built around a natural gas vent and used by Zoroastrian, Hindu and Sikh pilgrims from the 17th century onward, with Sanskrit and Punjabi inscriptions still legible on the cells around the courtyard. Then Yanar Dag, 20 km north — a seam of natural gas that has burned continuously along the base of the hillside for centuries. Time permitting, Mardakan Castle or Bibi-Heybat Mosque on the way back, before your transfer to the airport a clear 2½ hours ahead of the 16:55 flight, landing in Sharjah at 19:45 the same evening.
